First look at this year’s Oktoberfest dessert special — Black Forest cake layered with fluffy chocolate sponge made from @twentyfourblackbirds cocoa, tart cherries, and whipped cream. We figured we’d add to the menu again this year, this time with something sweet to round things out. Santa Barbara will also be rolling out its classic three Bavarian plates this weekend:
Schweinshaxe with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, braised red cabbage, and beer mustard.
Crispy pork schnitzel with German potato salad.
House-made bratwurst with all the fixings. Although it’s Oktoberfest weekend, Sunday Football Brunch will still be here, kicking off at 10 AM, with tri-tip sandwiches hitting the board shortly after at 11. No pizza all weekend and no Texas-style BBQ this Saturday as the kitchen puts its full focus on Oktoberfest — but wagyu smashed cheeseburgers, wings, salads, shakes, and all the usual staples will be rolling as always. Carpinteria will be soaking up the Oktoberfest spirit with festive decorations, plenty of Festbier, and our house-made pretzels — a fun lead-in as our team gets ready to go all-out for what’s sure to be a memorable Avocado Festival.
