I made my debut as Florestan in Beethoven’s “Fidelo” back in 2002, and have since had the pleasure of performing the role a dozen times from La Scala to the Royal Opera House. I have also recorded the role with the late, incredible conductor Claudio Abbado, and performed in this Claus Guth production of the opera at the Salzburger Festspiele (seen here in this video). This month, I will be adding a few more Florestan’s to the list! Tonight, I perform the role in concert at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy (@gstaadmenuhinfestival), followed by performances at the Grafenegg Festival (@grafeneggcom) on August 13th and 14th. 🎥: ORF
