There used to be a tiny tiny vineyard tucked away in a corner of my parentโs home.
I could never tell what kind of grapes they were but they are very similar to Concord grapes. Every year by the end of the summer, I can smell the sweetness of the ripe grapes weaving through the windows of our home. Wearing our raincoats with the hood zipped all the way up to cover every inch of us as much as possible, we would make our way into the vineyard to pick the grapes, all the while praying we would not get bitten by any of the bees roaming over the grapes.
A few minutes later we would walk out with a large bucket of grapes with us, making our way back inside. After biting into one, I could never stop eating them and could have them for all of my meals instead. Can you relate? ๐โโ๏ธ They were just so sweet and juicy and smelled absolutely incredible.
Safe to say that bucket of grapes did not last long.
