5 years ago today I quit my job to start @adelaideprk. At the time I was working at an agency, bringing a ton of a value to the table and not feeling recognized for my contributions. I took the scary way out. Woke up, wrote a resignation email, and decided to start my own agency. The company I worked for didn’t even respond to my email, they just deleted my email address and asked for the laptop back. I knew I was just a number to them. With enough rent money saved to last me 3 months, I took every dollar I had, got an office space by myself in downtown Toronto and sat in a room writing pitch deck after pitch deck, trying to score clients. 1 year later we took our agency to Los Angeles to run NBA AllStar Weekend. 4 years since that we have worked with the best in sports, music, film, and spirits. Thank you to everyone who has supported, given us an opportunity, and trusted us with your brand. Grateful to have seen this company through the last 5 (including a pandemic where we couldn’t even do events!). Cheers to another 5! Ps - Always bet on yourself!!!
