Saw #TheWomanKing this weekend with @aspoonfulofchae Excellent film! Great fighting choreography and action. It’s PG-13 but a couple of the fights don’t mind getting brutal & bloody! The cast (Viola Davis, Lashana Lynch, Thuso Mbedu, Sheila Atim, etc.) did the damn thing and man it was great to see John Boyega on the big screen again! And I appreciate that even with the good vs. evil battles, it showed the complications and internal conflicts with the Dahomey people in regards to slave trade, survival, equalty, plus made sure to show the emotions and humanity of the women warriors. Gina Prince-Bythewood directed a really good film and I highly recommend it. The only negative... someone brought a crying baby into the theater LOL! @womankingmovie
