Recently, for almost a month, I was on a journey visiting several countries. I hate being on planes, so I tend not to actively want to travel. But I am cognizant of the fact that there are people I must meet in other countries and that it is my job to see them in person. After the journey was over, when I looked into the mirror in the bathroom back home (in my studio in Saitama), I was surprised to see drastically more white in my hair than before. In the past, when my company almost went under, streaks of white hair also grew like highlights on the right side of my head; once we were out of the crisis, they went away. This time, I’m not sure whether it was the stress of traveling or other anxieties that caused them. But I have a feeling my black hair won’t be coming back this time. 😭😭😭
