The closest relationship I made on my mission over 25 years ago was with the family Mondaca. We are family, even though no I had not seen them since I left Chile in 1997. When I went to pick up Jimmy, I decided not to tell the Mondaca’s and I just showed up out of the blue. This is my best friend/Chilean father. He was the bishop when I was a missionary and today is the Stake Patriarch. When we rolled up to his house, he was (as is common) helping his neighbor with something. What a Surprise!! 🥲😇🙏
