It’s story time!!! I had a fun weekend for my friend’s bachelorette but it’s time to get back to real life and cleanse my body of my sins. So I started my day with a peloton ride (because it is way too hot to be outside right now in this LA heatwave), and my wild blueberry “PBJ” morning smoothie! I love this smoothie because wild blueberries are super high in anti oxidants and a compound called anthocyanin which can actually inhibit the growth of cancer cells which is exactly what you want while being in remission from an aggressive breast cancer like triple negative. I add in all my magical powders and and seeds to make this a great morning dose of cancer fighting goodness before I go about my day! So let’s make it while I tell you all my diagnosis story. I get messages from young women and their families pretty much daily saying they were diagnosed and asking how I found the lump myself or if it was part of a routine screening. I was diagnosed at 32 years old before screening for breast cancer is even recommended and have no family history so it just shows how important it is to do your self exams.
