📍 @bambino_dublin 🍕 A single pizza slice that’s unevenly divided Irish TikTok to its core (very on-brand of the platform btw!)You either love Bambino or question it’s pricing. I have to admit, I’ve had my hesitations despite maaaaany of my friends speaking of its excellence. I found it hard to justify paying €6 a slice, mostly, because I kept comparing it to the price of a sit-down pizza-restaurant experience that would set you back around €11-€16 for a whole pizza. We’ll cut to the chase and answer the sizzling question that everyone wants an answer to: Is it worth the €6?! Sorry to disappoint the haters but yes it is worth your buck. We ordered the hot pep and the sausage and peppers, both priced at €6 each. The first bite was sensational, and every bite closer I got to the crust, I found myself convincing us of paying for another slice. It’s that solid. While both slices were unique in its own right, my stronger pick is the hot pep, even though it’s not as spicy as I expected it to be. I’ve recently fallen in love with the combination of hot honey on a pizza from a recent visit to another pizzeria and so I had high hopes for Bambino’s. The hot pep was an expertly put together pizza. It’s not overly cheesy but still generously topped with pepperoni and with the light drizzle of their homemade hot honey, divine. The picture-perfect crispy-charred base was also outstanding, so much so, that I got the looks for even taking a photo of it! Charging €6 a slice may seem criminal to some but this is Dublin in 2022. What the TikTok haters typically don’t consider is that €6 is the small price we have to pay to support and sustain small businesses like Bambino. I for one regret not going in sooner. As hard of a pill it is hard to swallow, small/medium businesses can only thrive with competitive pricing as such, especially if sourcing quality ingredients. And quality ingredients is what Bambino championed and reflected on each of their slices. It’s a “don’t hate the player, hate the game” situation. #dublinfoodie #dublinfood #irishfoodie #irishfood #dublinfoodguide #lovindublin #discoverdublin #dublin #dublinexplore #irishfoodblog #irishfoodblogger #dublinlunch
