Completely avoiding these foods is often just not realistic with taste preferences, after school sports, play dates, traveling, or sleepovers at grandparent's houses. 🥰
Crunchy foods offered after sticky snacks can help remove food particles and debris from teeth grooves and surfaces, and cheese can neutralize the mouth. Water of course is a nice way to rinse any remnants away. Xylitol gum can help, too, but not my top choice as excessive and long term gum chewing can ultimately damage TMJ. Also, be sure to floss nightly as these snacks foods LOVE to camp out between back molars and teeth that touch.
You got this, parents. 💪
