This could be you! Ever dreamed of being a Park Ranger at Canyonlands? Now is your chance! Applications for Summer 2023 seasonal positions open this Monday, November 7th. If this is your first time applying for a position in the National Park Service, the process can be a little confusing. Luckily, we're here to help! The applications opening on November 7th are for seasonal Interpretation and Fees positions. Duties may involve giving educational programs, staffing visitor centers, staffing fee booths and talking to visitors on the trails (just to name a few!). These positions will last approximately 6 months. Although they are short-term positions, a seasonal gig is a great way to start your career in the National Park Service. Be sure to have your resume and USA Jobs account ready! These positions can be competitive and require a particular style of resume. Federal resumes are different from a typical, 1-page resume you would use to apply for a job at a private company. Federal resumes are pages long and require much more information. For tips on how to create the perfect ranger resume visit the Help/FAQ/Application section of USA Jobs (link in story and highlights). Be patient after you apply, the hiring process can be slow! You may not be contacted for an interview until February. To find the application, navigate to USAjobs.gov and search for ‘Canyonlands National Park.' The jobs will be listed in Moab, UT. We’ll post a link to the application once it goes live on Monday. See you next summer, we bet you’ll look great in green and gray! #FindYourPark #EncuentraTuParque #USAJobs #ParkRanger #DreamJob 📸: NPS/Devon Dunajski
