We are thrilled to share @chateaulassegue has been elevated to Grand Cru Classé status in the most recent Saint-Émilion classification by Institut National des Appellations d’Origine (INAO), the authority responsible for regulating France’s appellation system. This 2022 classification recognizes the excellence of an estate’s terroir, vineyards, wines, reputation, and the estate’s management. We are honored that Château Lassègue becomes one of 71 Châteaux in the appellation classified as Grand Cru Classé. The Jackson family in partnership with the Seillan family purchased the historic estate in 2003 and for the past 20 years, has cared for the land implementing a micro-cru winegrowing philosophy to help realize the property’s full potential. Our vision for Château Lassègue and this milestone is in many ways at the heart of what it means to be a successful multi-generational family wine business.
