We’re excited to share the new report from Survived & Punished CA, with partnership from TGIJP - Punished by Design: The Criminalization of Trans and Queer Survivors, highlighting the systemic and disproportionate criminal punishment of queer, trans, and gender nonconforming survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence. {Link in bio} We focus on survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence to highlight the pipeline from surviving sexual and domestic violence to being arrested, incarcerated, and/or deported. The focus on survivors, as well as queer and trans people, questions the narrative that we need prisons to help solve the issue of gender-based violence.”
