This is a break from my usual portraits of humans. Even though I had birds as pets for most of my life, I never really did a ‚proper’ shoot with birds. The last 4 weeks we looked after two adorable conures - it was the perfect opportunity to take some pictures of them. Meet Chilly - a male pineapple conure. He’s super cute, but also protective of his girlfriend Indy and knows how to defend himself.
