Ad Like pizza? Course you dough (see what I did there) Well this recipe will give you the lightest, crispiest dough with the poofiest crusts. It's also incredible if, like me, you are totally disorganised and need perfect dough in a hurry so hit that save button! And because I've teamed up with @waitrose using their Essentials range, it's also incredibly good value. So close that take away app, get that pinny on and roll your sleeves up because quite frankly there's no excuse not to. Ingredients 1300g strong flour 30g salt (seems like a lot but trust me on this) 2x 7g sachets instant yeast 700ml warm water 2 tbsp sugar semolina splash of olive oil to stop it from sticking 1) Mix the flour and salt 2) Dissolve the sugar in the water and then add the yeast. Leave for a minute or so to dissolve. 3) Mix the wet and dry ingredients together and knead for about 10 minutes until the dough becomes stretchy. 4) Oil a bowl and add the dough. 5) Cover with a damp tea towel and leave to prove somewhere warm for an hour or two. 6) Once at least doubled in size, knock the air out of the dough and knead again for a few minutes. 7) Separate into 8 approx 250g balls and leave again to prove for at least an hour. Make sure you use plenty of semolina to coat. There you have it Cracking dough in a jiffy. Few tips from me 1) Go heavy on the semolina, it won't be absorbed into the dough and will stop the stick. 2) Never use a rolling pin, you'll squash all of that lovely air out. 3) Instead push the air toward the crust and stretch with your hands. 4) Use a decent sauce (I'll share my easy recipe over on stories). 5) Less is more with the toppings, you never need as much sauce or cheese as you think. 6) Don't bother with anything green, your kids will pick it off anyway. Finally, if you're a little more organised and want to make this the day before to prove in the fridge. Just halve the yeast otherwise you might find it escaping by the morning.
