When Jesus commissioned the disciples (go therefore and make disciples), He promised presence (I will be with you). Faith in the presence of God motivates mission. Especially the faith that if we are just faithful to God, His word, and to prayer, He will move. I lament the temptation I’ve observed and sometimes felt, that tells the church that ministry impact is dependent on being interesting, animated, clever, etc. When, if we have any theological understanding of the human nature, none of that will remove a heart of stone. In all of our doing, we need God to move. If we don’t depend on Him, more than we do our techniques, revival will tarry. Via @passion268
