For years, birthdays felt like milestones to be marked, curated, and shared online on the day of —a pursuit of perfection mostly measured by moments captured and displayed rather than them being really,truly lived. Perhaps a memory only made real once witnessed by others. But something shifted. This year felt different. True joy, l’ve learned, is quiet. It doesn’t seek acknowledgment, nor does it demand to be seen-it simply is. Presence replaced performance, and the need for validation dissolved into the kind of contentment that exists simply for itself. It was a reminder that the most meaningful moments don’t require proof-they are their own reward. Thank you to so many beautiful souls who sent their love two weeks ago.
