it’s me, hi. 👋 typed out for you! 👇 Hi friends. I’m going to re-introduce myself for the new people here! My name is Lia and I was born in Hawaii. I am 39 years old. I live in Brooklyn with my husband of nine years to the day. And two girls. Asa is eight and Ruby is six. Justin is 44. I graduated from Scripps College in 2006, with a degree in mathematical econ. I moved to LA right after and got a corporate job at Lionsgate, then HBO shortly there after. I have scoliosis and sitting at a desk all day (plus my excessive cardio routine) started causing discomfort and pain in my back. So I found Pilates. It changed my life and I spent every day researching and self learning until I found a Pilates technique certification. It was out of my budget. My grandma died during this time and left me the exact money I needed. $6K. I took it as a sign and enrolled. I was certified nine months later, and started taking clients during every free hour I had. Before work, during lunch, and after work for over a year. Long story short, I left HBO, ran the Pilates studio at Equinox WeHo, got pregnant, got married, move to New York, and got pregnant again. I was a SAHM for a couple years while developing B The Method in my apartment during naptime. All I had was a stability ball. I started teaching clients again in 2017 and then B The Method classes in 2019 out of a store in Manhattan. The pandemic hit and I switched to teaching on Instagram live every day until the launch of the app in August 2020. I’m still teaching live on the app every week with our rad worldwide community and have big plans for this year. So stay tuned!
