Week 1: Entering Motherhood Zayden is finally here 🤍 officially a week old today. The love is like no other and I feel so proud of you already. Our story starts at 7am, when we go to the hospital. I was in labor for 9 hours. I carried you in my belly full term for 40 weeks. I wasn’t expecting to have a c-section, but I wouldn’t re-write the story any other way. Those moments of fear entering the delivery room were really real... but the world stops when they bring you to us for the first time 🌎🥹 So grateful our baby is handsome and healthy. The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do/go through. Looking back and finally making huge steps in recovery, I’m glad it happened the way it did. Everything is meant to be. Recovering now and taking my time and trying my best to be patient with my body is hard when I’m eager to move around and do everything with you.. Adjusting to the sleep schedule and starting my breastfeeding journey has been a test of strength but the closeness feeling is like no other. It’s one moment of crankiness when we have to wake up, & it goes away quick when we get excited to change your diaper and calm you down. It’s challenging getting up with my incision cut. Once I recover more I know things will get easier when I can move around more freely (& go to the chiropractor 😫). The back pain is real. Being the first week, I have do have my hard days but it’s all worth it for you little one. Fast forward to today, our first pediatrician appt and our little rockstar is healthier than ever. I love feeling proud of all your firsts! 🤍 we are so blessed for safety, health, and family. We love you so much Zayden! Welcome to the world and already teaching me so my about myself.
