A few years ago my grandmother died and it made me question my mortality. See my grandmother raised me as a kid and was my main caretaker while growing up in Nigeria. I remember even during boarding school she would attend to me. I learned what unconditional love is from her and what it looks like to give back to others. But more so what it looks like to sacrifice and go forth with your vision.For the past 2 years I have lived below my means just to make this dream work. I have lost sleep, friends and relationships while chasing this dream. I have had to jugggle the demands of being a PM in tech while building out the foundations of a musical career. Most people will never understand your why and why you go so hard for the vision. To be real there have been moments where I have wanted to give up not because of a lack of belief, but because of lack of resources, internal support and sometimes exhaustion. But we’re human and we all go through it right? The reality is we are going through it, we are dreaming, making sacrifices and hoping that our efforts are not in vain. The effort..is the main part of the journey. Over time I have learned that the journey is the most important part and not the destination.
