Repost from @feelinginsta • Our sixth studio album LOSS. HOPE. LOVE. is out now 🎉 It’s been an amazing journey building up to this album. We were just finishing work on the musical movie ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ and it was mid-lockdown. It had been three years or so since our last release and Dan had a handful of song ideas in mind. As soon as it was legal for us to meet at the studio we started work on album 6. Whenever we start a new project together there is always great excitement but during this difficult period it felt particularly special and cathartic for us. Over the (more than) 20 years we’ve worked together we had never experienced anything like this and our instinct was to come together and do what we love. In the way that our debut album (‘Twelve Stops and Home’) was a celebration of classic joyous pop through a young bands perspective, we feel that ‘LOSS.HOPE.LOVE’ shows a slightly more mature band leaning into their sound and using it to express who they are today. This is also why it feels perfect to have come full circle and be releasing this album back with Island records who released our first three albums and have been completely supportive in helping us realise the music and artwork just as we intended it.
