As we celebrate Native American Heritage Month, we are thrilled to listen to Paris Wise @parisiswise who is from the Zia and Laguna Pueblos tribes. She is also a Warner Bros Discovery Talent Management and Strategy Coordinator. "As a storyteller I want content based directly on what tribal communities themselves want to be amplified. Too often in media, we see stories where Natives are inactive participants or coverage is centered in educating non-Natives. This is why it's so important to not only have Native sources but Native storytellers and staff who are in positions of authority who can dictate the type and quality of content being made. This is where we'll see stories that not only highlight our important issues but highlight our beauty and accomplishments as well as people.
