“I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. The Lord has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death.” Psalm 118:17-18 There is a HUGE difference between knowing of someone & actually having a real relationship with someone. We can “tell the story of Christianity” and do all the things at the right time... BUT, do we really know Him?? Christianity isn’t just a box we subscribe to, it’s a relationship, one that is more tangible than the chair you’re sitting in or the ground you stand on as you read this. we were created for community since the beginning & are constantly in a search for community; so why is loneliness such a large issue? Too often we miss out on some of the greatest gifts God has to offer because we allow worldly desires and ambitions to isolate us from community or growth... If we allow ourself to slow down it’s jaw dropping how intimate our relationships can become. We were never designed to be raised in an institutions, but in families, around a table, & in community. So come to the table, cling to Him, and fast on what is good. Exodus 2024 was so so good. Having the opportunity to be used by Christ this weekend to capture and encapsulate moments like this will hold with me forever. Witnessing over 100 college students, clinging too, and desiring to grow closer with God is such an empowering and unique place to be. The smiles, laughter, constant search to grow in community; what better way is their for time to be spent than this.
