An act of resistance via gardening. I messaged @annagreenland in March asking for advise regarding sunflowers. Our chamomile lawn did not survive this winter, so I though this summer - I will plant sunflowers. Anna gave amazing advise, but I was too distraught to plant any seeds, so she offered to do it for me. Loads of plants arrived from Suffolk, I stuck them in chaotically all over the garden. My mum calls these ones - “tragychni sonyashnyky” - tragic, war-time sunflowers, for their colour. They are beautiful and they face towards the kitchen so I look at them often. Thank you, Anna! || In other news - we keep doing our thing, a new lot of money from my @patreon subscriptions is going to the families in my home town this week. My parents are here. My brother still sends me a video every morning.
