In most cases, this labor and genius goes without proper recognition or acknowledgement. These industries mirror our country which has been built on the blood, sweat, tears, and death of the Black community. 📢 The wine industry is not exempt. 📢 Natural wine means many things to us. It means liberation. It means progress. It means celebration and joy. It means we believe that a better world is possible. None of those things hold weight if our Black colleagues and fellow humans continue to suffer at the hands of a system that wasn’t built to protect or serve them. It’s a system that’s built to exploit them. ✊🏽 Tomorrow, our Bay Area wine industry will march together in solidarity. We will be in The Mission, a historically Latinx & Indigenous community in San Francisco, for the student organized and led protest in memory of George Floyd. We are stronger together and we need to continue to lift up and amplify the voices of the Black community. ✊🏽 DM to walk together and show solidarity as an industry. Spread the word.
