I did it! I managed to get myself over to the Surrey hills last minute to run @maverickrace . 11km was the aim, getting the distance and time in the legs whilst having fun. I didn’t have any music on either and the time seemed to just fly by. I surprised myself midway by telling myself ‘I’m proud of myself’ for doing this. For continuing to battle against my mental health and all the insecurities I had around running. Being amongst other runners I had less doubts about finishing. Funny that, as when I’m out running in town, familiar route I’m struggling and wanting to stop.
