I used to feel insecure about my body while sitting. I often covered my tummy with a jumper while driving in the car. I would hide my thighs behind a pillow while lying on the couch and always place my handbag on my lap when eating out. My body felt softer while sitting. My stomach would roll in my pants, and my thighs would squish together, making them appear larger than usual. All things that I was made to think were shameful. But now I know I deserve to sit comfortably and the shapes my body makes while sitting is just my body being a body. Thighs touch. Tummies stick out. Skin rolls. Cellulite dimples. B00bs sag. These aren’t things you should feel ashamed of. These are all normal things your body is supposed to do! Your body is supposed to roll, dimple, shake, fold, bounce, move, jiggle, stretch and hang. It’s normal, human and real. It’s supposed to have cellulite, skin folds, fat, rolls, bumps and lumps. These are all normal features of a body. Don’t spend your life feeling ashamed of your body. Don’t spend your time trying to change the things that make you, YOU.
