wow. just wow. i got to spend the week in austin with some of my favorite people celebrating art we made together. we showed up in spaces ive only dreamed of, and trust me when I say this is only the beginning. i honestly have no words for the profound impact @trashbabyfilm has had on my life and on the lives of everyone who’s been so lucky to cross paths. the amount of positive feedback we received while at sxsw was just a confirmation of what we all knew while making it. this film is something special. we could feel it in the air two years ago in a hot gravel lot, and we could feel it in every room we came together in here. these people, these places, this movie. words cannot describe the adoration and gratitude i hold for all of it. the world needs this movie right now. something so familiar yet new. something so heartbreaking yet inspiring. jacy you wrote a masterpiece and it was just so easy (and so incredibly difficult) to run with it. i know theres still much work to be done, but god damn to live a life making art like this has always been the dream. i love these people so much. i love this movie so much. i know all of you are going to love it all just as much as we do. there will never be enough words strung together in the right way to truly describe the magic this holds. these people are family, this movie is a bright light in our currently dim future. its hope, its heartbreak, its love, its hatred, its being stuck, and then being so incredibly free. and damn it really did just taste that much sweeter when we proved them wrong.
