Growing up I knew we didn’t have a lot of money and as I got older I started to appreciate how much my mother worked to make us feel like we didn’t go without. She always got us the biggest tree that she could to make us feel like we had just as much as the other families on the block. Last week, I bought my first Christmas tree. I think of my Mom every time I light it up. This season is always a hard one for me and I imagine for many of you as well. It’s the memories that I hold on to most and the traditions I hope to one day pass down to my family. Shoutout to my sister @_kimcaldwell for making me buy this expensive, but insanely gorgeous tree and for gifting me with my first batch of ornaments.
