We are excited to announce that PBDW-designed Fellows Hall at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts is a recipient of the distinguished 2022 Green GOOD DESIGN Award from The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. Beyond its innovative design to accommodate a unique international community, Fellows Hall has many sustainable measures including 363 photovoltaic panels, geothermal wells, VRF heat pumps, LED Lighting, super-insulated envelope, triple glazed windows, and rain gardens planted with indigenous species. In its 14th season, the Green GOOD DESIGN award recognizes the world’s most important examples of sustainable design and strives to develop public awareness of global companies doing the best ecological and sustainable design in the world. This year the distinguished jury received hundreds of submissions from around the world and selected over 160 products, programs, people, environmental planning, and architecture from 30 nations.
