Victoria Beckham in a Roberto Cavalli AW05 Ming vase print, corseted gown at the 7th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball to Benefit the Elton John Aids Foundation. If the gown looks familiar it's because it was honored at the Met's "China: Through the Looking Glass" 2015 exhibition. The exhibition, which focused on the impact of Chinese design on Western fashion over the centuries, was documented in the 2016 film, "The First Monday in May". It's been seven years since the exhibit and I've been thinking about this Cavalli Ming vase print gown since (I'm not kidding. It's a monthly occurrence). Today we reached a step closer to fulfilling this obsession. To see what I'm talking about head over to the IG stories. And yes. It's for sale. For any inquiries feel free to DM. [In order: Victoria Beckham in Cavalli AW05, 2005; the original Cavalli 2005 sketch, signed; Daria Werbowy for Cavalli AW05; the RC AW05 Ming vase dress at the Met; Julia Stegner in RC AW05 shot by Mert & Marcus for Cavalli 40th anniversary book]. 🇨🇳🐉 📚 👋🏽👨🏽💻 #pechugavintage #robertocavalli
