Long run #1 — the journey begins.
This first long run was the start of a conversation:
wake up, body. We’re going places....
We’re covering miles, and bridges, and boroughs, and this journey will only happen if everyone’s on board—mind and heart and muscles and bones.
Over these 16 weeks, we’re building bone density and increasing glycogen stores. Our metabolic rates will get faster and our hearts will beat cleaner and our lungs will breath deeper, all because of these miles, and especially these long runs.
Wake up, body. We’re going on an adventure.
