about a year ago i submitted to an open call for pose season 3. open calls are huge and i felt like i had barely just gotten the hang of acting again (my first love), but why not—by the time i got the call that they wanted to offer me Safaree i had forgotten all about her..the gag is now i never ever will. my episode premiered last june and i haven’t been able to find words that align with the gratitude i feel to have gotten the chance to close out a show that changed everything for girls like us..still don’t know if these do, but i feel called to release. nother gag: i had given up on acting until i saw pose, but i very vividly remember the deep feeling of hope that overcame me after seeing the pilot. now, miss pose on fx was not perfect, but she gave me my first role on tv and more importantly she gave us hope. thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this place, those who helped me celebrate this milestone, and to everyone who over the last year has congratulated me on this or shared their story with me. thank you pose. thank you janet, steven, mj and thank you Safaree AKA #TheLastEvangelista <3
