This is an APPRECIATION POST for my mom and dad 💜✨ My dad turned 90 last December and my mom turned 86 last week!💫🙏🏾💙 My mom makes pies so delicious that I can’t really eat other people’s pies with any genuine enthusiasm. And she can demolish an ice cream cone like nobody I’ve ever seen. My dad just got new hearing aids and it’s been so nice to have him back in the family debates and conversations because he has CRAZY stories from his youth. 😂 I do I not think anyone could look cuter in the metal head tshirt that @pippyle2 designed for #CAMH and I really treasure that hunk of Lava my dad gave me after he displayed it for his Bonsai club competition. 🪨✨ All through pandemic quarantine they joined their neighbors in their driveway for snacks and check ins. It was such a startling sight to see an intergenerational multiethnic group of people hanging out that they got written up in the local newspaper. My folks never stop learning and growing. And they have friends of all ages sexual orientations and cultural backgrounds. I think they are on ther 63rd year of marriage, I lose count.
