Always in motion with Trajal Harrell. We are looking back on moving moments at Fondation Beyeler with US choreographer Trajal Harrell: Together with his "Schauspielhaus Zürich Dance Ensemble“, he created the dance "Little Monkey“ on a dance floor in the style of Piet Mondrian’s masterpieces. In search of forms developing freely and without external influence, new movements and figures emerged, immediately captivating the audience. Dazzling characters gathered on the artfully designed dance floor and created a performative flow with expressive movements – touching and fascinating at the same time. Between historical references and pop culture, between everyday gestures, social patterns and poses, a piece was created which evoked the powers of the body beautifully. 👉🏼 Those who missed the moving performance at Fondation Beyeler in autumn, now have the opportunity to see "Monkey off My Back or the Cat’s Meow“ back on stage now at the Schauspielhaus Zurich.
