Outside of her role as monarch, Queen Elizabeth dedicated her personal life to her duties as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Of her children, she said, “They teach us all a lesson...that in the birth of a child, there is a new dawn with endless potential.” Her death will bring upon many changes to the monarchy—especially as her eldest son becomes King Charles III—but her legacy will have a lasting impact, most notably as a blueprint for how future royals will serve.
