In the light of past and current sufferings. “THE LIGHT IS GREATER” Thanks to the whole team ❤️ To show solidarity with the women of our regions and to highlight their suffering , we have created a photo & video project called - The light is greater . The aim of the project is to highlight unity amongst different ethnic identities in standing against the suffering of the victims of sexual violence in Tigray. The team behind the project was a cast of East African women creatives from all over Europe and America. All the photos were shot by photographer Meklit Fekadu and featured models Bethel Tamenut, Ribka Neway, Senu Helen Workneh, Feven Kiflom, Rim Tekle, Meriem Mohammed, Yohanna Alem. The project also has an accompanying video,which was directed by the Berlin based directress Tsellot Melesse, featuring poetry from Tigrayan-American poet Beelyn Naihiwet.
