Outercourse = s3x, too!📚️
Historically, outercourse has been misconstrued as foreplay, meaning that it is intended to lead up to something much bigger, i.e intercourse. That, however is far from the truth.
According to a 2015 study surveying 1,055 vulva owners aged 18 to 94, only 18.4% reported that intercourse was enough for org4sm. The rest of the group surveyed needed more- aka, outercourse.
Again, it is important to stress the importance of language and inclusivity. If we were to continue viewing s3x with the notion that intercourse is the only way to orgasm, then we ignore and underserve almost half the world’s population. This narrative also excludes s3xually active people who are unable to enjoy penetrative s3x.
When we change how we speak, we change the way we think- lowering our expectations, allowing us to create our own personalised narratives on what s3xual pleasure actually is.
