🤍Notre Dame🤍 It’s hard to comprehend how long 859 years truly is. They began building Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris in 1163. She has been desecrated and restored many times. It is easy to see why this place is visited by 13 million people every year. Though the cathedral has very recently withstood some pretty severe damage from the 2019 fire, the French take great pride in their history and she is being restored once again to her original state. The Western facade was not damaged so you can still see her in all her glory if you go to Paris. Look past the construction fences and cranes and you will still see the cathedral back there standing just as she was almost a millennium ago when she was built.
