I’m glad to announce I am playing guitar for @ABBA Their album ‘Voyage’ is out tomorrow and I will be playing their forward-looking Arena Live Show @ABBAVoyage starting in 2022 with a live band that are already sounding on-point, electrifying and then some! Photo 1) With Benny Anderson of ABBA, whose masterful songwriting with Björn Ulvaeus I’ve already learned a lot from, both in the studio and by diving into these songs along with all of their previous albums! It’s been on my mind to know how a show of the future would sound and feel. It’s exciting to know ‘ABBA Voyage’ is being created with architects Stufish Studio and vfx with Industrial Light & Magic, founded by George Lucas whose forward-looking work with ‘Star Wars’ and many other films led to further innovation in Movies as we now know them, is ILM Studio’s first foray into music! I also wondered what would it be like to be transported in time to a soaring band in the 70s, say 1979, to play exactly how they were originally playing, to then move into my own way of playing, something that I’ve explored for so many years that it’s what I do. To this day, seeing people dance, feel and sing to music, especially music released before I was even alive through to current music, is a huge buzz and I’m looking forward to seeing more!
