A HEART IS A HEAVY BURDEN : sometimes the grief is so crushing you need a little extra help carrying it ~ ~ ~maybe it’s being outside in nature if you’re able, listening to the crows chatter and tracking their movements as a storm rolls in and pine needles rain down with the wind ~ { I walked into a bath warm night sea under a hidden full moon up to my waist last night and felt a fleeting moment of peace }, reaching out to friends and loved ones for the comfort only their words / voices can bring, maybe reading a book that turns your blood quicksilver, replaying *that song* over & over { for me, Nina Simone’s live ‘ You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To’ }, falling asleep to Howl’s Moving Castle, standing over the stove & stirring your favorite dish carefully over a slow flame ....or maybe it’s through an eclipse of planchette grief moths or other special jewelry worn close to your skin that you can turn over in your fingers when you’re feeling out of your body, that can help ‘carry’ your inky feels, the feels that make you feel ‘too much’, that make you feel out of step with the world and with everyone else, that make you feel like it’s better to just retreat into your hermit cave again and again. Maybe it’s telling the bees~ or telling each other~ or telling me.
