Snaps from a recent wine tasting birthday party – it was SO much fun! The birthday girl wanted to use all of her beautiful colored glassware 💕 Have you ever wondered about the differences between Prosescco, Cava, Champagne, and other bubbly you see on the shelves?! This would be the perfect lineup for you. The tasting theme was sparkling wines of the world – I started with a brief intro on the different sparkling winemaking methods (a little bit of science, but kept it light!!) before moving through the fun part - drinking. 1) Crémant d’Alsace Brut Rosé 2) 2022 Vintage Cava 3) Prosecco Superiore DOCG and 4) California Sparkling Brut Prestige. I always worry about being too “heavy” on the winemaking techniques, regional details and regulations, but this group really seemed to enjoy the details.
