We’ve been playing around with grip work and exhausting the system to see how far you can push it. Grip is a strange thing and I feel you can’t really get “motivated” or adrenaline pumped to increase your grip strength or grip endurance.
It’s feels like the more I hype myself up the faster my grip starts to fail and the recovery time never seems to be enough.
The catch and release dumbbell sets have taken a long time to work up to without cheating yourself.
The name of the game is making each exercise harder than it really is, using the opportunity to test yourself mentally and physically each session.
We train our grip as often as possible because the day you really need it, you won’t raise up to the event, you’ll fall to your baseline level of training.
