I feel the most beautiful in my natural state 😘 I let go of the idea that I needed to transform my blackness to be more digestible to society’s beauty standards. It’s too much work and feels like cheapening a masterpiece. The first person on this planet was a black woman so you can’t convince me that how I was made isn’t the prototype. I was created by the divine and the most high makes no mistakes. Luxury to me is knowing that I am priceless just the way I am. The beauty & fashion industry capitalizes on this idea that black women need to do so much to be considered valuable. Knowing you are not only worthy, but also precious just the way you are is an act of rebellion.
