Early in the production for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler wrote a 400-PAGE guide to the fictional world of Talokan for herself, director Ryan Coogler, and all their collaborators on the film. Beachler shared a few elements of that massive guide with us — which covered everything from migration paths to population growth rates to the materials that the people of Talokan were using to sustain life. She also talked about how her adoptive city of New Orleans offered inspiration for the new film, how she collaborated with costume designer Ruth E.
