ꜱᴛᴀʏ, ᴛɪᴍᴇ, ᴀᴡʜɪʟᴇ ᴛʜʏ ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ So pleased to have shared my latest piece as part of The RB Draftworks. It was lots of work and limited time, but working with such a attentive, charismatic and courageous cast meant it all came off and I felt tremendously grateful and proud. @harrychurches @taisuke__29 and Kristen Mcnally. The piece was set to two pieces by the 16th century composer John Dowland, 'Tarleton's Resurrection' (Lute) and 'Time Stands Still' (Lute, Viol and Voice) as well as one by Hildegard Von Bingen, 'O Eterne Deus' (Eternal God, for voice and drone) Here are my programme notes to give you just a little flavour for it --- Time flies....but stay awhile, my friends, and you too Time. Consider a playful evocation with a ‘Divine Mother’ manifesting Time. Her consorts are Elizabethan archetypes, The Fool and Poet, even her regal characterisation is a walking shadow of Eternity.
