World Championships Silver Medalist! *Candid caption disclaimer* Over the last 15 or so hours I think I’ve experienced just about every emotion the human brain is capable of. Happiness, sadness, pride in what I’ve accomplished but also a lot of dissatisfaction. I went out there to fight for the gold, and that’s what I did, but I have to walk away with a silver yet again. The Outdoor title continues to elude me. When I missed my last attempt at 4.90m, I walked straight to my husband and hugged him, a little bit tearfully, and said “it’s ok. I’m ok.” Because, I AM! I am walking away with my chin held high because I know I fought hard to make my way back from the injury in Tokyo (both to my hip and to my mental health.) I put my heart and soul into this season and found myself on the podium both indoors and out, and that’s something I can be proud of. So, onward we go, y’all! The fire is still there inside ❤️‍🔥and that’s what keeps me coming back for more. I’m addicted to this sport and to competition. It’s my drug. So now, I’m going to go home and celebrate this achievement with my family, and let it motivate me to keep climbing that ladder. 💖 I also want to say my deepest thanks to all my friends, family and fans for being here for me through thick and thin. I felt utmost pride competing in front of an American crowd yesterday. When I’m out there, I’m jumping for YOU. What an experience it was 🇺🇸💖. And last but not least, I want to congratulate teammate @ktnago13 and Australian @ninakennedy_ for your incredible accomplishments. World Champion and World Championships Bronze Medalist. I am truly inspired by the women who I get to jump with. 🥰
