Something I’ve learned Glastonbury folx to be very proud of is the town’s history, and when I asked a large group what the most notable historic landmarks were, people shouted “THE FERRY!!!” from the rooftops. The ferry that runs between South Glastonbury and Rocky Hill across the CT River is the oldest continually operated ferry in the US - it began in 1655! Truly iconic 💖 • I have decided that to celebrate the summer, I am challenging myself to complete one digital illustration every week for the 11 weeks of summer. 💖☀️I will be choosing to recreate local places that have significance to me (what else is new? haha) in an effort to sit with and study my own experiences and gratitude for those places.
