Yesterday we said goodbye to the Queen, a historic moment in British history. A day to reflect on the enormous contribution made by Her Majesty the Queen to the wellbeing of the nations. The Queen was such a symbol of the values our nation holds so dear and are so proud of. But not only to Great Britain, with over 4 billion people watching her funeral worldwide, it shows the breadth and reach of her respect and presence on the world stage. Her duty and selfless service were an inspiration to all. I can’t help but think back to when my own granny Eve passed and the words I wrote after the last time I saw her. It was an autumn day, the leaves were falling and the seasons changing, much like yesterday. Today I find myself revisiting those words I wrote, which became my song ‘Colours Fade’, as the nation grieves for the Queen, I feel much of the world has lost its collective family matriarch. So in that vein today, HRH Elizabeth II, this song is dedicated to you. Thank you... for all you were, all that you did, and all that you stood for. You will be missed 🤍
