Nelson (Ngok Lim) Poon was born in Hong Kong and he currently lives in Taipei, Taiwan. His medium was photography, but he recently has been focusing on painting and drawing. Inspired by nature (mostly plants, birds and landscapes), his paintings capture the compositions and the search of light through the eyes of a photographer. . “Nelson Ngok Lim Poon is the most unusual person I have ever met, and I am not saying this because he’s my dad. He is the number 11th child in a family of 14, and it has driven him to create arts and crafts in solitude. He mostly worked with photography, but has discovered his passion for painting during the pandemic. He is currently living in Taiwan.” . His works will be on display this Friday 9/23 from 6-8 pm at our plant shop located at 44 grand st in Williamsburg.
